Cars with Causes accepts vehicles whether they are running or not, in most conditions so long as you have or can retain the appropriate paperwork. In addition, Cars with Causes aims to gift out as many vehicle donations as possible right back into the community free of charge to the recipient. Many other organizations do not offer the possibility of gifting out your running car. Instead, every vehicle goes to an auto auction and is sent home with the highest bidder. Cars with Causes accepts running vehicle donations, has them inspected and in many cases, minor repairs completed, and then gifts these vehicles back out to those in need. This allows our donors to maximize their tax deductions to the fullest extent possible!

Car Donation is Quick and Easy
Making a vehicle donation to Cars with Causes is a quick easy process, and we offer free towing and transport for any type of vehicle. For aircraft donations we have a fleet of volunteer pilots, and for large watercraft we have volunteer captains. After submitting the online donation form, one of our representatives will reach out to you to schedule a free pickup. This immediately releases you from numerous costs of vehicle ownership such as parking/storage fees, insurance, registration, smog/inspection fees, or completing any required repairs.

We handle the entire donation process from start to finish, and you can expect to see the IRS form 1098-C (and 8283 when appropriate) within 60 days of picking up your vehicle.

Cars with Causes, along with all funding programs under Giving Center, has never paid for any advertising! We have never used Google Ads, pay for click services, or shelled out a single penny towards radio jingles or TV commercials. We believe that donors give to us because they want to maximize where the proceeds are directed from the sale of their donations, which means landing in the hands of people in need and not more advertising opportunities. We know that when we take care of our donors, they, in turn, share their experiences with their families, friends, and through social media posts. Many of our donors make donations every year to us, and many more have been referred by someone who has had a great experience. You will never see charitable dollars being frivolously redirected for use on advertisements, but instead will be going directly into the hands of those in need.
